Remembering Loved Ones On Your Wedding Day | North Carolina Wedding Planner

Weddings are an emotional time for everyone, but even more so for a bride or groom that has lost someone close to them. Many couples look for ways to still include these special people in their big day.

Some brides choose to incorporate a meaningful object into their something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue. Perhaps you could include your grandmother's broach in your bouquet or wear your mother's favorite saphire earrings.

If you have multiple lost loved ones, consider using a remembrance table. One of my favorite ideas is to include wedding portraits of these loved ones. Lighting a memorial candle is another sweet way to honor those special people during your ceremony. You may also consider having a moment of silence, a special song played, or having someone read a poem or scripture.
